1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how WheelFetti (the “Service”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: when you register, we collect your email address and password so you can sign in and manage your account.
- Event data: data you enter to run events, such as event names, participant names, participant email addresses (if you use email invites), wheel configuration, and spin results.
- Payment information: subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We receive your email, subscription status, and limited card metadata (brand and last four digits). We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data: session information, device and browser information, general location derived from IP, and feature usage needed to operate and improve the Service.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: running events, synchronizing wheels in real time, and showing results.
- To authenticate you, protect accounts, and help prevent fraud, spam, and misuse.
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
- To send transactional email (e.g., verification, password reset, participant invites) via our email provider, Resend.
- To operate, debug, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Cookies
The Service uses cookies that are essential to its operation:
- Account cookies keep you signed in to your account.
- Event access cookies help participants stay connected to an event so their picks and turns work correctly.
If advertising is enabled (see Section 5), third-party advertising cookies may also be set.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Some pages of the Service may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Where ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following categories of providers only to the extent needed to run the Service:
- Payments: Lemon Squeezy (checkout, billing, subscription management).
- Email delivery: Resend (transactional email).
- Hosting and infrastructure: cloud providers that host our servers and databases.
- Advertising: Google AdSense, where ads are enabled.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and event data while your account is active or while an event exists. Guest events may expire and be removed according to plan limits. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact method in Section 10; we will delete the data within a reasonable period unless we are legally required to retain it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information and limit access to it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we do. For questions, deletion requests, or privacy concerns, reach out via the WheelFetti Discord server.
